The most important principle engaged in class practice and discussion is the existence of life
force energy.  This course provides each student with the Reiki Level 1 attunement, a special
process experienced within class to attain individual connectivity to the Reiki energy source.

Students and teachers who have taken Reiki classes with other Masters are welcome.

The curriculum covered provides an introduction to:

  • Reiki, a Japanese technique for stress reduction
  • How Reiki works
  • Different Uses of Reiki
  • The History of Reiki
  • A review of Japanese Reiki Techniques: Gasho Meditation, Byosen Scanning, Kenyoku,
       Koki-ho, Jachi-Kiri-Joka-ho, Gyoshi-ho and Enkaku Chiryo
  • A guided relaxing meditation
  • Reiki Level 1 attunement
  • An energy flow exercise and practice for students to feel the energy in oneself
  • How to visualize auras
  • Reiki hand positions to treat oneself and others
  • Bio-energy balancing with the use of Reiki
  • A demonstration and practice on how to utilize Dr. Usui's technique using the Three Pillars
       of Reiki in a Reiki session
  • A demonstration and practice on how to offer a complete Reiki session for self and others
  • A demonstration and practice on how to apply Byosen Scanning, the ability to sense one's
       or other's energies
  • A demonstration and practice on how to apply Beaming, the ability to send energy at a
       distance, in time and space
  • Class manual included
  • A Certificate of Achievement is issued after course completion



For nurses, massage therapists, body workers and occupational therapists (7.5-9) Continuing
Education Units (CEs and CEUs) are offered.  Reiki 1 & 2 is offered together as a scheduled
weekend class.  One Certificate of Achievement is issued upon course completion.
